A stretch of the Northern State Parkway has reopened after a multi-vehicle crash.
The crash took place eastbound around 6:40 a.m., Friday, Feb. 28, in Jericho, said state police.
It was not immediately known how many vehicles were involved or how severe the injuries, but at least five ambulances were on the scene.
The crash closed all lanes of both east and westbound traffic on the highway for multiple rescue vehicles and police.
The westbound lanes reopened, but eastbound lanes remained closed for an extended time period to allow for an investigation.
The lanes reopened late in the morning.
